Surfactant is required for a good kill on weeds. This one works.

This works just as well as the brand name one. Used as directed on lable, it removed hard to kill weeds. I will use Triclopyr 4 again next year.

The product was delivered quickly and was very easy to mix and apply to my trees. This product has 15 times the amount of active ingredient that is in the Bayer product that I bought at one of the big box stores, and that cost $60 per gallon. I understand that I will need to treat my trees annually. That will not be a problem since I found such a great product at an outstanding price. Plus the shipping was free!!

Triclopyr is reasonably effective on invasive ailanthus (tree of heaven). We've had best results when using this product late in the summer. We used a cordless drill to make 3/8" diameter holes, angled downward, at least a couple of inches deep, just behind the bark --and we squirted the herbicide in there. The results are more satisfactory than with the hack-and-squirt method we have tried before, although obviously there are other variables that are hard to weigh.
