Velum Prime - Fluopyram 41.5% Soil Fungicide & Nematicide for Vegetables, Fruit & Nut Crops

Velum Prime from Bayer CropScience is a suspension concentrate formulated with fluopyram at 41.5% (4.16 lb ai/gallon) - a Group 7 SDHI fungicide with dual activity as both a broad-spectrum soil fungicide and a plant-pathogenic nematode suppressant. Applied to the root zone via chemigation, in-furrow, drench, or banded soil methods, Velum Prime suppresses key soil-borne diseases (powdery mildew, Alternaria leaf spot, Fusarium wilt, Sclerotinia, early blight, and more depending on crop) while simultaneously suppressing plant-parasitic nematodes - a combination that lets growers address two distinct threats to root health with a single soil-applied product. Velum Prime carries one of the broadest specialty crop labels available, covering brassicas, cucurbits, fruiting vegetables, bulb and leafy vegetables, legumes, potatoes, pome and stone fruit, tree nuts, berries, hops, mint, sunflower, sorghum, and tobacco.

Standard rate range across most labeled crops is 4.0–6.84 fl oz/acre (soil application), with a typical annual maximum of 13.7 fl oz/acre (2 applications at the high rate). PHI and minimum retreatment intervals vary meaningfully by crop:

• Brassicas, cucurbits, fruiting vegetables, leafy greens, bulb vegetables: 4.0–6.84 fl oz/A; can be applied on the day of harvest on most; 5–7 day retreatment interval
• Potatoes & sweet potatoes: 6.0–6.84 fl oz/A; PHI 7 days; 5-day retreatment interval
• Pome fruit, stone fruit, tree nuts (nematode suppression only): 6.5–6.84 fl oz/A; PHI 7–14 days; 30-day retreatment interval
• Small berries (caneberries/bushberries), strawberries: 6.0–6.84 fl oz/A; can be applied day of harvest; 7-day retreatment interval

Resistance management: Do not make more than 2 sequential Group 7 applications before rotating to a fungicide from a different FRAC group. Do not exceed the maximum yearly rate for any crop from any combination of fluopyram-containing products - this includes other Bayer fluopyram products used on the same crop.
