Orion Basal Oil + Dye from Orion Solutions, LLC is a non-aromatic paraffinic oil diluent and emulsifier blend, with an integrated colorant, formulated specifically as a basal oil diluent for basal-bark and cut-surface brush control applications. It improves the coverage and spreading of basal bark and brush control herbicide active ingredients and is labeled for use in premix applications with emulsifiable concentrate herbicides such as Garlon 4 Ultra, Garlon XRT, and Stalker, or their equivalents. The built-in dye lets applicators clearly see where treatment has been applied, helping avoid oversprays and skips on brush and stem targets.

Directions for Use

Follow the recommendations of the most restrictive herbicide active ingredient label in the tank mixture. Only use Orion Basal Oil + Dye within the label recommendations of every product in the mixture, and only where a paraffinic oil diluent is allowed or not excluded on the label.

• Dilution ratio: Up to 1:3 (25%) when following herbicide manufacturers' label recommendations for a basal oil diluent

Tank-mix order of addition: Fill the spray tank half full with carrier and start agitation before mixing, checking that valves and gauges work and that adequate tank agitation is present. Then add products in this order: (1) Wettable Powders (WP), then Flowables (F, DF); (2) agitate, then add anti-foaming compounds and buffers; (3) Liquid and Soluble products; (4) Emulsifiable Concentrates (EC).

Use rates may vary depending on environmental conditions and application method - increase rates as necessary for additional wetting and penetration. This product does not contain ammonium sulfate. If you do not have experience with a given mixture, perform a jar test using the order and amounts specified, and conduct a phytotoxicity test to ensure crop safety.
