RightLine Loyalty WDG Herbicide - 75% Sulfentrazone Water Dispersible Granule for Turf Sedge, Broadleaf & Grassy Weed Control

RightLine Loyalty WDG from RightLine LLC is the first dry formulation of sulfentrazone developed specifically for turfgrass applications, a significant formulation advancement over liquid sulfentrazone products. Formulated as a 75% sulfentrazone water dispersible granule (WDG), Loyalty WDG delivers contact and residual weed control with visible results in as little as 24 hours, while the dry granule format reduces summer phytotoxicity risk compared to liquid emulsifiable concentrate and suspension concentrate sulfentrazone formulations. Loyalty WDG provides selective, postemergence control of sedges, kyllinga, susceptible broadleaf weeds, and certain grassy weeds across a wide range of cool- and warm-season turf types, and is labeled for use in residential lawns, institutional lawns, athletic fields, golf course fairways and roughs, commercial sod farms, and a broad range of non-crop and industrial sites.

Key Benefits

  • First dry sulfentrazone formulation for turf - the WDG format eliminates the liquid carrier associated with conventional sulfentrazone products, reducing the risk of summer phytotoxicity and burning that can occur with EC and SC sulfentrazone formulations applied during hot weather.
  • Fast, visible results - contact activity produces visible weed response in as little as 24 hours; residual soil activity provides extended weed suppression after initial foliar burn-down.
  • Dual contact and residual activity - foliar absorption provides immediate contact control while soil residual activity continues working after the application, delivering both knockdown and extended protection in a single pass.
  • Broad-spectrum weed control - controls sedges, kyllinga, a wide range of broadleaf weeds, and certain grassy weeds across an extensive target species list; see label for the complete weed table.
  • Labeled for both cool- and warm-season turf - versatile across all major turfgrass types, including bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, St. Augustinegrass, centipedegrass, tall fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and more.
  • Low use rates - effective at 2.6 to 8 dry oz per acre (0.06 to 0.18 dry oz per 1,000 sq ft), keeping per-acre product cost competitive and reducing overall chemical load.
  • High-concentration value - at 75% AI, 8 oz of Loyalty WDG is equivalent to 12 oz of liquid sulfentrazone (4 SC formulation), providing more active ingredient per pound purchased.
  • Broad tank-mix compatibility - compatible with most herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides, allowing Loyalty WDG to be integrated into existing spray programs without a separate application pass.

Use Sites & Target Weeds

For use in/on: Residential and institutional lawns; athletic fields; golf course fairways and roughs; commercial sod farms; railroads, highways, roadsides, pipeline and utility rights-of-way; industrial areas; fence rows; and other listed non-crop sites.

Turfgrass tolerance: Loyalty WDG is labeled for use on established cool- and warm-season turfgrasses, including bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, St. Augustinegrass, centipedegrass, bahiagrass, tall fescue, fine fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and others as listed on the label. Always confirm specific grass species and cultivar tolerance before making a full application.

Controls/Suppresses: Sedges and kyllinga (including yellow nutsedge, green kyllinga, false green kyllinga); annual bluegrass; crabgrass (large, smooth, southern); goosegrass; annual ryegrass; and a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds, including dandelion, dollarweed, ground ivy, henbit, chickweed, clover, oxalis, spurge, plantain, dollarweed, Florida beggarweed, and many others. See the complete Weeds Controlled table on the label for the full species list of 70+ target weeds.

Application Rates & Timing

Apply postemergence to actively growing weeds. Post-emergent performance is optimized when adequate soil moisture is present at the time of application. Use the lower end of the rate range for smaller, less established weeds and the higher end for dense populations or more tolerant species:

  • Broadcast application rate: 2.6 to 8 dry oz per acre (0.06 to 0.18 dry oz per 1,000 sq ft)
  • Liquid sulfentrazone equivalent conversion:
    • 2.6 dry oz WDG = 4 fl oz of liquid sulfentrazone (4 SC)
    • 5.3 dry oz WDG = 8 fl oz of liquid sulfentrazone (4 SC)
    • 8.0 dry oz WDG = 12 fl oz of liquid sulfentrazone (4 SC)
  • Application method: Ground spray equipment; mix into water and agitate thoroughly before use. Apply in sufficient water volume to achieve uniform coverage of target weeds and turfgrass.
  • Tank mixing: Compatible with most herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. Follow the most restrictive label instructions for all products in the tank mix. Always conduct a compatibility test before mixing products not previously used together.
  • Timing: For best results, apply when weeds are actively growing, and adequate soil moisture is present. Applications made during drought stress or on dormant turf may result in reduced efficacy or increased turf sensitivity. See the label for specific timing guidance by weed species.

Do not apply to turf that is stressed by drought, disease, or pest injury without first assessing the risk of turf injury. Do not apply directly to water, wetlands, or areas where surface water is present. Observe all label restrictions regarding application near drainage areas, water bodies, and sensitive areas.

ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW LABEL DIRECTIONS BEFORE USE.

Why Professionals Choose RightLine Loyalty WDG

Sulfentrazone has long been one of the most reliable tools for sedge, kyllinga, and broadleaf weed control in professional turf, and Loyalty WDG delivers all of that proven chemistry in a dry granule format that addresses the one persistent limitation of liquid sulfentrazone: summer phytotoxicity risk. The WDG formulation allows applicators to make sulfentrazone applications during warmer conditions with reduced risk of burning, while the 75% AI concentration means more active ingredient per pound purchased and a more economical cost-per-acre than lower-concentration liquid alternatives. Fast 24-hour visual response, broad tank-mix flexibility, and a label that spans residential lawns to golf courses and non-crop sites make Loyalty WDG one of the most versatile and practical sulfentrazone options available.
