Ridomil Gold Bravo SC Fungicide - Mefenoxam & Chlorothalonil Disease Control for Vegetables & Potatoes

Ridomil Gold Bravo SC from Syngenta is a professional-grade, suspension concentrate fungicide combining two complementary active ingredients, mefenoxam (3.3%) and chlorothalonil (33.1%), into a single, ready-to-mix formulation. It delivers both systemic activity against downy mildew and late blight diseases and broad-spectrum protectant activity against a wide range of foliar vegetable diseases. With Syngenta's Weather Stik technology, Ridomil Gold Bravo SC maintains effective disease control even in challenging weather conditions, protecting the quality and marketable value of vegetables and potatoes throughout the season.

Key Benefits

  • Dual mode of action - mefenoxam (Group 4, systemic) and chlorothalonil (Group M5, multi-site protectant) work together for broader, more durable disease control than either active alone.
  • Weather Stik technology - proprietary formulation aids rainfastness and adhesion for dependable residual protection even under adverse weather conditions.
  • Systemic + protectant coverage - mefenoxam moves systemically within the plant to control Oomycete diseases, while chlorothalonil provides broad-spectrum contact protection against early blight, gray mold, leaf spots, and other foliar diseases.
  • Resistance management - the multi-site activity of chlorothalonil complements the single-site mefenoxam component, helping slow the development of mefenoxam-insensitive pathogen strains.
  • Tank-mix compatible - works with many commonly used insecticides, fungicides, and spray adjuvants for flexible program integration.
  • Broad crop registration - labeled for use on potatoes, a wide range of vegetables, and more, as listed on the label.

Technical Information

  • Active Ingredients: Mefenoxam - 3.3% (0.33 lb/gal); Chlorothalonil - 33.1% (3.34 lb/gal)
  • Formulation: Suspension Concentrate (SC)
  • Fungicide Groups: 4 (Mefenoxam - phenylamide/RNA polymerase I inhibitor) + M5 (Chlorothalonil - multi-site contact)
  • EPA Reg. No.: 100-1221

Use Sites & Target Diseases

For use on: Potatoes, onions (dry bulb and green, including garlic), cucurbit vegetables (cucumbers, melons, squash), fruiting vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant), brassica vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower), leafy vegetables, legume vegetables, peanuts, strawberries, and other crops as listed on the label. For field use only, not for use in greenhouses, nurseries, transplant trays, lath houses, float houses, or hydroponic production.

Controls/Suppresses: Downy mildew, late blight (Phytophthora infestans), early blight (Alternaria), gray leaf spot, gray mold, gummy stem blight, anthracnose, leaf spots (Cercospora, Septoria, Alternaria), purple blotch, pink rot, cavity spot, scab, storage rots, fruit rots, and other diseases as listed on the label.

Application Rates & Timing

Begin applications preventively before disease onset or when conditions are favorable for infection. Use a minimum of 20 gallons of water per acre for ground applications and 5 gallons per acre for aerial applications. Thorough, uniform coverage is essential for effective disease control:

  • Potatoes (late blight, early blight, storage rots): Apply 2.5 pints/acre. Apply no later than row closure; do not apply within 14 days of harvest.
  • Onions, garlic (downy mildew, purple blotch): Apply 1.5 pints/acre on a 7- to 14-day interval beginning when conditions favor disease development.
  • Cucurbits (downy mildew, gummy stem blight, anthracnose, leaf spots): Apply at label-specified rates beginning preventively; consult the label for crop-specific intervals and PHIs.
  • Cole crops/brassicas (downy mildew, Alternaria leaf spot): Apply 1.5 pints/acre; apply on a 7- to 14-day schedule under disease-favorable conditions.
  • Other labeled crops: Refer to the product label for crop-specific rates, intervals, maximum applications per season, and pre-harvest intervals.

Do not apply within the buffer distances from marine/estuarine water bodies specified on the label (25 ft for ground applications, 150 ft for aerial/air-blast). Do not tank-mix with Dipel, Latron B-1956, or Latron AG-98. Observe all REI, PHI, and rotational crop restrictions as listed on the label.

ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW LABEL DIRECTIONS BEFORE USE.
