Orion 90 - Nonionic Low-Foam Wetter/Spreader Surfactant

Orion 90 is a professional nonionic surfactant designed to improve spray coverage, spreading, and wetting for a wide range of agricultural and horticultural applications. As a low-foam wetter/spreader, Orion 90 enhances deposition and uniform leaf coverage to help optimize the field performance of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, defoliants/desiccants, PGRs, and foliar nutrients when an NIS is recommended.

Key Benefits

  • Low-foam formulation - supports smooth mixing, transfer, and spraying with minimal foam.
  • Improved coverage & wetting - reduces surface tension for better leaf spread and droplet retention.
  • Versatile compatibility - suitable with most pesticide chemistries and foliar feeds when a nonionic surfactant is permitted.
  • Consistent performance - supports more uniform deposition under varied water qualities and spray volumes.
  • Broad use scenarios - fits ground or aerial applications across row crops, specialty crops, turf, ornamentals, and IVM.

Technical Information

  • Type: Nonionic low-foam wetter/spreader (adjuvant)
  • Principal Functioning Agents: Alkyl polyoxyethylene surfactants, humectants, and formulation aids
  • Formulation: Liquid concentrate
  • Intended Use: Add to spray solutions where a nonionic surfactant is recommended on the pesticide/fertilizer label

Use Sites & Compatibility

For use with: Labeled herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, defoliants/desiccants, plant growth regulators, and foliar nutrients.

Sites: Field and specialty crops, orchards/vineyards, vegetables, turf/ornamentals, industrial vegetation management, and other labeled non-crop uses where an NIS is permitted.

Always check the pesticide label for adjuvant requirements and any prohibitions on the use of surfactants.

Application Rates & Directions

  • General foliar sprays: Use 0.25% v/v (1 quart per 100 gallons of spray solution).
  • Tough/waxy foliage or dense canopies: Up to 0.5% v/v (2 quarts per 100 gallons), if allowed by the pesticide label.
  • Spot/handheld sprayers: 1-2 teaspoons per gallon (~0.15-0.3 fl oz/gal), if permitted.
  • Aerial applications: Typically 0.25% v/v or as directed by the pesticide label for low-volume carriers.

Do not exceed the maximum adjuvant rate specified on the accompanying pesticide/fertilizer label. Always conduct a jar test for compatibility when using new combinations, and follow crop-specific precautions.

ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW LABEL DIRECTIONS BEFORE USE.
