Credit 5.4 Extra Herbicide - Non-Selective Glyphosate with Surfactant for Broad-Spectrum Weed Control

Credit 5.4 Extra from Nufarm is a professional-grade, non-selective, systemic glyphosate herbicide formulated with 53.8% glyphosate (5.4 lb/gallon as the isopropylamine salt; 4 lb acid equivalent per gallon). It delivers reliable broad-spectrum control of annual and perennial weeds, woody brush, trees, and vines across a wide range of agricultural, non-crop, and vegetation management use sites. Credit 5.4 Extra is formulated with a full load of proprietary surfactant already included in the jug; no separate surfactant is needed when used alone, offering added convenience and cost savings compared to formulations that require a surfactant additive.

Key Benefits

  • Surfactant included - formulated with a full load of quality surfactant; no additional surfactant is required when Credit 5.4 Extra is the only pesticide in the tank, saving time and money.
  • High-concentration formula - 5.4 lb/gallon glyphosate IPA (4 lb ae/gal) for effective weed control at competitive use rates.
  • Broad-spectrum, non-selective control - controls a wide range of annual and perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds, woody brush, trees, and vines.
  • Systemic activity, no soil residual - moves through the plant from foliage to root system for thorough control; does not provide residual soil activity, so only emerged weeds at time of application are affected.
  • Flexible use across many systems - labeled for use in Roundup Ready and specified glyphosate-tolerant crops, burndown and fallow systems, non-crop and vegetation management sites, and more.
  • Tank-mix compatible - can be combined with 2,4-D, dicamba, atrazine, pendimethalin, and other labeled herbicides for expanded spectrum programs; observe all individual product label requirements.

Technical Information

  • Active Ingredient: Glyphosate, N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, isopropylamine salt - 53.8% (5.4 lb/gal; 4 lb ae/gal)
  • Surfactant: Proprietary surfactant included in formulation, no additional surfactant needed when used alone
  • Formulation: Water-Soluble Liquid (SL)
  • Herbicide Group: 9 (EPSP synthase inhibitor)
  • EPA Reg. No.: 71368-126

Use Sites & Target Vegetation

For use in/on: Roundup Ready and specified glyphosate-tolerant crops (corn, soybeans, cotton, sugarbeets, canola, alfalfa, and others); burndown and reduced/no-till systems; fallow systems; cereal and grain crops; vegetable crops; tree, vine, and shrub crops; pastures, rangeland, and CRP acres; farmstead weed control; and a wide range of non-crop and industrial vegetation management sites including roadsides, utility corridors, railroads, rights-of-way, airports, commercial and recreational areas, and others as listed on the label.

Controls/Suppresses: Most annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds, woody brush, trees, and vines as listed on the label, including but not limited to foxtails, barnyard grass, ryegrass, pigweed, lambsquarters, morningglory, velvetleaf, Palmer amaranth, waterhemp, johnsongrass, quackgrass, field bindweed, nutsedge, bermudagrass, and many others.

Application Rates & Timing

Apply postemergence to actively growing weeds using standard ground, aerial, or handheld equipment. Weeds must be emerged at the time of application. Apply at least 4 hours before expected rainfall or irrigation for best results:

  • Annual weeds: Generally 6-22 fl oz/acre depending on weed size and species; smaller weeds require lower rates. Refer to the Annual Weeds Rate Section of the label for species-specific guidance.
  • Perennial weeds: Generally 22-64 fl oz/acre depending on species and growth stage; apply at or near maturity for best control. Refer to the Perennial Weeds Rate Section of the label.
  • Woody brush, trees, and vines: Generally, a 1-2% solution for low-volume applications, or up to 64 fl oz/acre broadcast; refer to the Woody Brush Rate Section for species-specific rates and cut-stump or injection methods.
  • Roundup Ready and glyphosate-tolerant crops: Refer to the crop-specific sections of the label for approved timings, rates, and growth stage restrictions. Do not exceed 6 qt/acre total glyphosate per year for most crop sites, or 8 qt/acre for non-crop and tree/vine/shrub sites.
  • Surfactant note: When Credit 5.4 Extra is the only pesticide in the spray tank, no additional surfactant should be added. If tank-mixing with other pesticides, follow the additional product's label requirements regarding surfactant use.

Do not mix, store, or apply in galvanized steel or unlined steel containers; reaction with these materials produces flammable hydrogen gas. Do not apply directly to water. Observe all seed potato precautions, spray drift restrictions, and state-specific use requirements as listed on the label.

ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW LABEL DIRECTIONS BEFORE USE.
