    Active Ingredient: Quinoxyfen

Quintec fungicide controls powdery mildew in cherries, grapes, hops, lettuce, melons, strawberries and peppers. It has a unique ability to redistribute around fruit and foliage to form a protective barrier, which allows it to reach hard-to-cover areas after application. Quintec also offers an extended spray interval that protects foliage and fruit long after application, and a mode of action that has never before been used.

    Features

    • Highly effective against powdery mildew in cherries, grapes, hops, lettuce, melons, peppers and strawberries.
    • Extended spray interval of 10 to 14 days for most crops and up to 21 days for grapes.
    • Unique mode of action, never before used in North American crops. Makes an excellent rotational product with other fungicide classes (e.g., sterol inhibitors and sulfur).
    • Excellent crop safety profile.
    • Rain-fast within one hour.
    • Registered under U.S. EPA Reduced Risk Initiative.
    • Does not disturb populations of most key non-target species or biological control agents (e.g., predatory mites).

    Application timing

Dow AgroSciences and Precision Agri-Lab are partnering again to help you control powdery mildew. Starting in April, one-page faxes (or e-mails) can be sent on Monday and Thursday with information specific to your area. The information is generated from weather monitoring stations located throughout major grape-growing areas of California. Weather information is combined with the UC Risk Index model to give you a view of the existing mildew risk. Color maps are also viewable by clicking on the box below. For more information call (888)-395-PEST.

Proper resistance management for powdery mildew in grapes requires use of different classes of fungicides. Rally fungicide (a sterol inhibitor) used in rotation with Quintec fungicide (a quinoline) will help achieve this.
